    2. PM54 Rule Ammendment

      March 10, 2010

Currently when playing powermage you follow these steps

      1. Player Draws a card from Draw Deck
      2. Action Play: Player decides to do one of the following:
        • attack using an Attack card*
        • increase their points by using a Health card*
        • use the ability on a Face card** or Thump card
        • pass their turn if the player holds 5 or less cards.  (Note: Thump cards MUST ALWAYS be used with a Face Card. See Attack, Health or Face card under Cards for more information.)

We are going to add one more option to the action play – this should make 2 player faster and more fun

      • Player can discard any 2 cards in hand and draw two new cards. Player’s turn is over once the two new cards are drawn. The discarded cards are shown and added to the discard pile.

If you try this new rule, let us know how it works out for you. Our testing shows it REALLY makes a difference.

    3. Even more good reviews about PowerMage 54!

      February 3, 2010

Second Look at PowerMage 54 (Purple Pawn) – “The action is fairly fast pace once you get the hang of things, and I was pleasantly surprised by the gameplay.” “Corey has created a solid, entertaining game in a small package.”

Boardgame News (December) – “the artwork was one of the notable pluses of the game.”  “For fans of other humorous card games like Munchkin or Fluxx, PowerMage 54 is definitely worth a close look.  And for fans of German-style filler card games like Coloretto and No Thanks, PowerMage 54 may be a sillier way to occupy your time between games of Caylus and Princes of Florence.  I particularly appreciate the fact that every card is unique and has great comic artwork to make the card play entertaining, especially when you block a ballistic missile with a well-multiplied pepper spray.”

Boardgame News (Tom Rosen J&J Con) – “As soon as I opened the game up, I was struck by how much attention to detail was paid to the artwork.”
